Iframe Method for Facebook Like

So, I tested with the Iframe method too. It is actually the most easiest way to insert Facebook like to your blogger post. I am still using the FBML version though.
Here is how you do it.
For Blogger/Blogspot

  1. Go to Layout (Design) > Edit HTML and check “Expand Widget Templates”.
  2. Find <data:post.body/> and Below the line add the following codes.
<b:if cond='data:blog.pageType != &quot;static_page&quot;'> <iframe allowTransparency='true' expr:src='&quot;http://www.facebook.com/plugins/like.php?href=&quot; + data:post.url + &quot;&amp;send=false&amp;layout=button_count&amp;show_faces=false&amp;width=90&amp;action=like&amp;font=arial&amp;colorscheme=light&amp;height=21&quot;' frameborder='0' scrolling='no' style='border:none; overflow:hidden; width:90px; height:21px;'/> </b:if>

The blue coloured ones can be changed according to the your needs. Or got to http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like/ and customize your Button.
See related post : http://likeweb.blogspot.com/2011/10/finally-i-got-facebook-like-button.html

Test the FBML and IFrame version, and share which one works best with you.

Finally, I got the Facebook Like Button. WoHoo!

After two days(now its way faster than that) of searching and testing I got it. Finally I got the facebook like button to work properly on my blog. Here's how I did it.

First Goto to http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like/ . Here you will get the required code to insert the like button.
Select the required options as you want, the most important is the URL to Like. It is where you set the post or website which you want to link like button.

For now just type anything there (need to be changed if for blog posts). In Layout Style if you just need a small like box then choose the "button_count".
In the width option, if you chose "button_count" then 150 will just be enough for you. Enter 450 if you want a bit detailed view.

Show Faces shows the Profile Picture of the one who liked the page.

After you click on Get Code a pop-up box will appear showing you the code.

Select XFBML for now and I guide you to rest.
I tried with the other methods HTML5 and IFRAME, the result was not like as I wanted so I chose XFBML.
Choose XFBML for now.
  1.  First you have to do is copy the code in second box. You don't need to copy all, just copy the xmlns:fb="http://ogp.me/ns/fb#"
  2. Now Go to  Blogger and Overview(Dashboard)> Template> Edit HTML. Tick the "Expand Widget Template". You can backup the Code in Notepad if any error occurs.
  3. Find your <HTML ...tag. copy the above code and paste before the ">" of the HTML tag.
  4. Now Find <data:post.body/>Then right below the line paste the code from the First Box(above image).
  5. Then paste another code from the third box(above image) , to the another line below.
    Important:
Now change the code of third box href='post.url' to expr:href='data:post.url'. This gives the link of the post you are currently viewing.

You like button must be up and running after this. Do ask if any questions.
Click here for The iframe method.

The game of Lifetime! - GTA Series

The Grand Theft Auto series defines the times we are living in. Most people in their right minds would not plan to spend their weekends committing auto thefts or getting into fights with strangers. In that sense, Grand Theft Auto (GTA) redefined virtual entertainment for these same acts. Some critics and parent groups call it—quite justifiably—downright insane; some enthusiasts call it the biggest gaming revolution since Mario and Doom.

This best-selling series has become a modern-day cultural icon and is listed as a top game on most charts more dominantly than any other game today. The core reasons for this immense success are perhaps the great gameplay plots of the GTA franchise—which have been given more focus after GTA II—and the freedom provided by the genre, in which a player enjoys a non-linear flow of the plot and has choices like free-roam and non-mission activities.

In the GTA games, the protagonists who gradually rise through the echelons of the crime world are often forced, pushed back or pushed into a life of crime because of tragic events. GTA does not, as opposed to the common notion about it, glamorize crime. In fact, it lets the players see how dirty crime is. The game would be clean of controversies if only parents and some obstinate children really understood the significance of the ratings and leave GTA for grownup gamers. GTA is not mindless gore and not solely about thefts and shootouts; it is about emotions; the problems of underprivileged communities (hoods); families and friends (e.g. your ‘homies’ in GTA San Andreas); of love—lost and found; and above all, the lifestyle we are still strangers to.

In GTA, gameplay progresses with missions, side-jobs and bonus activities which are unlocked serially excusing the series the need to have a separate training module for novice players. The player and the character both grow from being a newbie to an expert in driving and shooting skills, and in newer GTA games, flying, and even wooing girlfriends!

With releases like the GTA Chinatown Wars on the Nintendo DS, PSP and the iPhone, GTA is now available on all gaming platforms. Nevertheless, I have had better experiences on the PC because only a keyboard and mouse combination justifies the rich array of controlling options provided by the games. However, the controls are intuitive on all platforms.

The first GTA releases, GTA I and II, came around in the late 90’s. Their 2D graphics were poor by the standards of other games. However, the release of GTA III marked a new era in sandbox action genre with the introduction of the interactive, alive and breathing New York-like ‘Liberty City’ with crowds, cars and buildings, and the freedom to do just anything that you wanted to. The third person view was introduced and the seamlessly-rendered environment was complete with excellent lighting and sound effects of a busy city. The next release, GTA Vice City, brought a new city based on Miami, the ‘Vice City’. The next instalment, GTA San Andreas, had a graphics engine with an unparalleled performance. This version introduced the whole state of California with cities like San Fierro (San Francisco, Los Santos (Los Angeles, Las Venturas (Las Vegas), the surrounding towns and areas of desert, water, woodlands, and the countryside of Nevada. San Andreas redefined GTA gameplay with a wealth of new features like hunger, exercises for bodybuilding, dating, and licenses for life skills like driving, boating and flying.

However, in terms of animations and physics, GTA has continued to be weaker than most games of the genre. Cars still crash like toys and damages are not always convincing. Collisions, braking, drifts and motion simulations are getting better with new releases but have still not been meticulously taken care of. Characters look funny after they get shot and act stupidly when they have to climb into your car stopped right next to them—they often seem to not spot you.

The award-winning music and the voiceovers are the best features this franchise has to offer. The GTA games have parodied many components of Western culture but, most ridiculously, they have successfully made the US look like a place where stealing others’ cars is just as easy as entering into one’s own. GTA has itself been parodied in the spoof movie Meet the Spartans.

GTA allows you to witness the crime world by immersing yourself in it. It will take some time for crime-based games like GTA, which are actually about the human inside criminals, to get acceptance among sceptics. For everyone mature enough, this is a must have.

Blogger Template Designer- Don't know what to do of it!

I recently came by to the new feature introduced by blogger to customize the templates. I like any other had a try on it. Firstly I little kept aside by the fact that my current template is not available to customize. Though a nice set of templates, mine current template was what I needed. So I didn't change the template of my blog as you can see. However I looked up how would my blog look on them. The blue one on the picture looked quite nice for me. Tried some tweaks on it and was fun to see whats available.

See this offical introduction video.

Try it yourself. If you don't like the templates available then you can just wait or create yourself one.

Vector Runner- Can't be more Addictive!

http://www.digyourowngrave.com/vector-runner/
Did you guys play the Cursor 10? A addictive game of same class is what Vector Runner brings you here. The game uses basic shapes; old school 3D vector graphics, a cube as a block, smaller cubes as power-ups, and a steady steam of pyramids and rhombuses to dodge. The game is addictive because of the three challenges, of how far you can go without hitting something. This is one of those games that you can play for short bursts whenever you feel like a break. Despite how simple the game looks, the gameplay is preety complex, and the game is by no means easy. The game is also available for iPhone.

Check out this video of making 74k points. He also has some tips for us.

Click here to play the game. My current hi-score is 13250. Beat that. Hehe.

The Add-ons Eco system on Firefox - Fourth

Customize Google
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/743
http://www.customizegoogle.com/
Searching had been never so easy without google and now this Addon 'Customize Google'makes it even better. 'Customize Google' lets you customize many features of Google Search. It lets to block the Google ads in almost any Google Page also including Gmail(I loved this one). It remaps Google Images search results to point directly at the images (no longer will you need to click through the originating site). Customize Google lets you add links from other search engines directly into your search results. It can also block Google click tracking and allows you to connect to Google Calendar and Gmail securely (https).

Gspace
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1593/
Have you tried the Microsoft's SkyDrive? Here's the one from on your Gmail to store your files(although there is Gdrive on the line). This is not provided by Google but is provided by third party as an add-on and connects to Gmail drive as a new network share on "user's network station".

Gspace is a content management extension that lets you turn your Gmail account into an online mass storage device. Gspace integrates nicely into your browser and lets you drag and drop files into Gmail for backup or storage purposes without interrupting your work flow. If you use Gspace, I recommend adding a tag in Gmail to your files so they can be filtered and accessed quickly. The following is the description of Gspace from its homepage: “Gspace turns the 2GB of your Gmail account into free online storage. With Gspace you can manage unlimited Gmail accounts to store all type of files within its simple, user friendly interface. Listen to your favorite stored music directly from your Gspace, view your collections of pictures and manage your Gdrive files as well. Download Gspace now and transfer files between your computer and Gspace at anytime, from everywhere!”

Omegle; You: "Hey There, Stranger!"

Check this out, an experimental website Omegle.

What is Omegle?
It is a chat room but not any ordinary one you find. Here the one who you chat with is not chosen by you, instead you chat with an anonymous user. When connected to the site, you're randomly matched with another individual and placed in a chat room, identified as stranger. You can disconnect at any time you like, and unless you swap details yourself, the conversation remains totally anonymous. The pretty simple site with amazing concept is gaining height in the world of social networking.

The site was created by 18-year old Leif K-Brooks of Brattleboro, Vermont, US and was launched on March 25th, 2009.

I tried it and found it really kills your boredom. What else, you can laugh out at times too. Say hi the 'stranger' replies 'hi' (may be). Keep silence until the 'stranger' breaks it (Don't take too much time nor the 'stranger' might disconnect). For me the first try today, the first two peoples said "I am really horny" and got the hell out on my response. Later the chat with some 'stranger' got quite well along.

Anyway a great new website to kill your boredom (i guess). But the guy who made this is really getting something out of it.
Know what the founder says...

O&O FormatRecovery, Thank you very much

http://www.oo-software.com/
I must say this one(FormatRecovery4.0) is the software that has made me the most happiest in my life (and the MS XP the for the most saddest day of my life).

A virus infected my computer which I could not remove by any means. The anti virus could not run because the virus canceled any activities to its threat. The task manager and registry did not run either. Then at last I went to re-installing my XP. I tried to install the XP from the windows: As I finished some clicks and it restarted then it showed the old DOS like interface. One thing was fishy as I could not see the drive selection window and I soon found myself into trouble as I choose to format the drive automatically selected by the Windows. The drive was found to be the heart of my computer (not the OS drive). Shit all my works were gone. I had no backups anywhere. I spent the day hating my hurryness to re-install XP.

I could do nothing but work with what I had. Then I removed the viruses from a renowned anti virus and spent my lazy days trying to recover my lost files. I tried some restoration softwares but in vain. They could do nothing but show empty files.

Then I got this software (O&O FormatRecovery) from my friend. When I fist run this recovery software it was very slow (still slow). But incredibly it showed some 200,000 files that could be recovered. It took about an hour to show all the files. I was quite happy though. It had some irritating stuffs like; it took about 10 mins to show up the files, 15 minutes to uncheck all the files and viceversa. But at last going through the final steps, saving the recovered files and see that they work perfectly thats the most happiest part. I recovered about 5 Gigs of files with almost all files in perfect condition ( I just saw 1 file showing 0 Bytes, thats only one I found).

Thanks O&O FormatRecovery, you are the best recovery software I have found.

Sorry if I bored you with the story.

It's just started, and I am feeling bored at Facebook

Well, on facebook I have made just 4 friends till now. So the things are usually boring at facebook for me . I hope it won't be boring when I make some more worthy friends.

It has just been some 2 and half weeks of me on facebook. I am doing my best getting used to facebook. Ha! not succesful at times.. I request for friends to about a dozen peoples and just 2 accepted.

More to say, the security check is really reallly really irritating.

Give me some tips on using facebook. How do peoples get so much hanged on it. I want to see it. That the question I ask to everyone on facebook.

However, one girl mere 2-3 years bigger than me make some busy, interesting times. She is of course good to talk. Why not? she used to live in Nepal.

Hey I haven't tried the Groups. I will join a group right now.

Join me if you want..

Ahh! on the final note: I have an annual exam coming so I will be off for about a month. So bye. C ya.

Yes I signed up in the facebook

After hearing so much(too much) of it, I am now compelled to try it out. I had been using Hi5 and had been tackling it hard due to its flashy design(the customized designs on profile). The flashy designs were so much irritating for my eyes and of course slowed the cybercafe's computers(na, mine's fast).

So 2 days ago I signed up in the facebook. The home page was cool(is really? I am confused); standard, no eye candies. The sign up is the fastest one I have had till now. But after the sign up they show me the 3 easy(first steps) steps to go through before you have facebook experience. It took me a lil time to fill them up, anyway they could be skippable. After it was finished the starting page was very confusing to me; Must be due to the hi5. Everything was so short.

One thing that caught my eyes was the "What's on your mind". It was simply like twitter; though you could write long paragraphs on it which is limited to about 150 in twitter. Though the twitter like posting felt good.

A thing about facebook is really irritating. The comfirmation box. You need to time to time confirm the thing you do with the image comfirmation which is for more anger, case sensitive.

Haven't seen much yet, bye for now. Just twitting...

Personalization would be better...

After so much of the reviews without no peoples interest, I will try making this blog a lil more like personalized tech blog. Yeah! thats better!. Yes there will be reviews and launches but with my personal views on it. I guess it will make the blog more interesting.

Hope this will work out for you guys to stick in.
