Online life together with Threadsy

Following the trend right now in my blog here is what you need for your many social connections to get in one place. Gone are the days when you could make do with a single email account for all your social connections. But now with the likes of facebook and twitter you may well be close to abandoning your email altogether. Threadsy is a new web service which attempts to salvage this mess by bringing in a social context and relevance to your email inbox.

Threadsy allows you to pull in emails from multiple accounts into one inbox, where you can manage all your messages. Unlike the traditional way of forwarding all mails to one account, or using Gmail's external email checking features, Threadsy gives you more control over each inbox separately as well. Adding an email address is simple as entering email address and password. If you use either Gmail, Yahoo!, Windows Live, AOL, or Mobile Me, you are done. YOu can also add custom IMAP account if you use other services.

While email is central feature of this application, the main premise is to add social connectivity. It lets you connect with Facebook and Twitter accounts.

Threadsy divides your communications into two columns -"inbound" and "unbound" panels. The "inbound" column shows all the messages that are addressed to you. The "unbound" column lists all social updates from your connected sites.

Threadsy makes good use of your social data, adding profile images to your email conversations to make the experience richer. As you view an email message from a friend, Threadsy displays all their social data aggregated from multiple sources.

The best thing is that it is browser based. No need to download.

Click here to use Threadsy.

Cursor*10 - Co-operate with yourself

http://www.freewebarcade.com/game/cursor10/
Cursor*10 is a new game in the Flash Games category that will hook you up. At least for 10 minutes or may have unimaginable impact on you. It surely did to me for 10 minutes and then I just could not beat my self. No competitors but you yourself.

In this Flash Game you race against your self, your mouse movements does it all.

You have 10 possible runs using a cursor, to make it to the 16th level of a building. Each run is tracked by the game so the ghosts of your previous clicks are essential for you to unlock certain paths that let you navigate to the top. It may be necessary to sacrifice one run just to ensure that the other cursors can make it up faster. It's a game where you co-operate(oh! better to say co-operate than compete) with yourself.

You need to watch this...

S2V – Flick and View

http://www.ac-s2.com
There’s really not much else to S2V- short for Slide to View- that the fact that it’s meant to emulate the finger-flicking way of picture browsing, as done on the iPhone. Of course, there’s no multitouch support, so the navigation pad is still paramount to zooming in (up arrow) and out (down arrow). Sliding your finger from left to right will scroll through the images in a folder, while sliding from the top of the screen to the bottom at the edges will rotate the pictures. The cool way of viewing picture is here for WinMob users!

Platforms: Windows Mobile
Price: Free

Omegle; You: "Hey There, Stranger!"

Check this out, an experimental website Omegle.

What is Omegle?
It is a chat room but not any ordinary one you find. Here the one who you chat with is not chosen by you, instead you chat with an anonymous user. When connected to the site, you're randomly matched with another individual and placed in a chat room, identified as stranger. You can disconnect at any time you like, and unless you swap details yourself, the conversation remains totally anonymous. The pretty simple site with amazing concept is gaining height in the world of social networking.

The site was created by 18-year old Leif K-Brooks of Brattleboro, Vermont, US and was launched on March 25th, 2009.

I tried it and found it really kills your boredom. What else, you can laugh out at times too. Say hi the 'stranger' replies 'hi' (may be). Keep silence until the 'stranger' breaks it (Don't take too much time nor the 'stranger' might disconnect). For me the first try today, the first two peoples said "I am really horny" and got the hell out on my response. Later the chat with some 'stranger' got quite well along.

Anyway a great new website to kill your boredom (i guess). But the guy who made this is really getting something out of it.
Know what the founder says...

Coding Images with HTML table

After a long and tiring effort I have come to an end of my work, making images from the HTML tables. I got this idea from a post on w3schools, and it was fantastic idea.
So what I have made?
I first choose an image from my picture library. First of all I though to make a huge picture like the 640 X 480 resolutions, but threw that idea after I calculated the no of cells (table cells) needed to make it. 288000 cells are what I would be working if I did that.
So I turned out to a pretty looking picture from Yahoo Answers Avatar, an avatar of someone (he must be very happy) that was 48 X 48 resolutions. You guys might be thinking it is too easy; NAH! Think again. It is 2304 cells, which will still wrinkle your fore head and open your mouth.

Then going to the 48 X 48 starting had not yet begun. I opened the picture on Fireworks and magnified it to clearly see its 1 X 1 pixels and fit in the screen. Then I pressed Print Screen button on keyboard and pasted it on a new Fireworks page. I just took out the needed portion and made a jpg image that gave distinct colors on every 8 X 8 pixel with the 384 X 384 resolution.
NOTE: If you just enlarge the 48 X 48 image and make a picture then the image is blurred and more colors are added. So don’t do it.

The HTML starts here. I first made a table of 48 X 48 cells on Dreamweaver. The & nbsp from the cells were removed and height and width kept at 8 (px). The table was stretched and widened to 384 (px). The enlarged avatar was made background of the Table, you can see it undoubtedly fits the size of the table. Magnifying the page view made it easier and then just clicked on the first cell, picked the bg color chooser of the cell from the properties menu and click on the cell itself. (Because there is picture on the background, so the color code of the background is chosen for the cell)
This process was repeated until I finished each and every cell. If you are trying it, I suggest you to do it serially.
Then hope fully after 3-5 hours or some days I had some relaxation! But still a small thing was left; I almost forgot to remove the background image of the table. After I removed the image, it was impossible to single out the real image and the HTML table image.

Here is the result:

Does it looks elongated?? Click here to see the non elongated view of the HTML table image.
File size :124.6 kb

Here's a code that will make it faster! It is a php code. Thanks beon_robot.

<?php
$image = 'picture.png';
echo '<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN"
"http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><head><meta http-equiv="Content-type"
content="text/html;charset=utf-8" /><title>Rendering "', $image,
'"</title><style type="text/css">table, table *
{margin:0;padding:0;border:none;font-size:1px;} td
{width:1px;height:1px;}</style></head><body><p>Rendering image at "', $image,
'".</p><table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0">';
ob_flush();
$size = getimagesize($image);
$im = imagecreatefrompng($image);
for ($y=0,$ySize=$size[1]; $y<$ySize; $y++) {
echo '<tr>';
for ($x=0,$xSize=$size[0]; $x<$xSize; $x++) {
$rgb = imagecolorsforindex($im, imagecolorat($im, $x, $y));
$color = "rgb({$rgb['red']},{$rgb['green']},{$rgb['blue']})";
echo '<td style="background-color:', $color ,';color:', $color,';" ></td>';
}
echo '</tr>';
ob_flush();
}
imagedestroy($im);
echo '</table></body></html>';
?>

Change the bolded part to make some changes with the image you are using.

A pure HTML Website, Working with just the use of html

A sister of mine came to me asking help making their project. They were studying simple HTML, so they hadn't learn the css nor Javascript.They asked me to make a simple HTML project about their school.For me i first thought it would be an easy task, just use the HTML and i am done. But really getting into it i found it harder to use just the HTML and nothing else. But i went on and have made a preety good HTML project for them with only HTML. But it really hard to work with HTML so i couldn't stop myself using a small CSS,
style="background:url(files/back6.jpg) bottom right no-repeat;"

it was what i used. Except this line on every page everything else on the website is purely HTML only. Here's what i have made. http://users2.titanichost.com/chanchali/mvayou can also download the whole website herehttp://users2.titanichost.com/chanchali/mva.zip just click the save target as.I've used a colour sheme of light blue. There is a wide use of TABLE as i can't afford any more css by using the DIV or simply layers. There is no mouse over effects in the links. I used a simple navigation system with a side bar and the read more information.

It is the use of plain HTML and some pictures, so the design may not be prettier but I have used the best I can.
