Online picture editing from picnik

http://www.picnik.com

Picnik is a really cool and free site which has basic photo-editing features from rotating, cropping and resizing images to adjustment of saturation, contrast and even red-eye removal.

Using this site is very simple. Go to the site and upload your photo. You can work with your photos on myspace, flickr, facebook, photobucket, picasa, webshots, freewebs and your computer.

Next, you will be taken to a Web page having a menu with the several options. The rotate option allows for clockwise and anti-clockwise rotation of images and even flipping images horizontally or vertically. There is also a slider to make the image rotate by an angle of your choice. Cropping gives the facility to select only that part of the image that you wish to use. Drag the selection area larger or smaller by using the mouse. Resizing the image can be done to change the resolution or the aspect ratio of the image.

The exposure menu option offers the feature of changing the contrast or exposure of the image. The colours option is to be used to adjust the saturation or the temperature of the image giving it a fuller appearance. Both are done using slider controls.

The sharpness of the image can be adjusted using the sharpness menu option. This is useful for noise-removal or improving the quality of grainy images. The red-eye removal menu option is used to remove the unwanted effects of a flash on the eyes of people who are present in the photo.

Overall picnik is a good and powerful image editing website.

I wanna make 3D. "Google Sketchup makes it easier"

You don't know how to use the Autocad and 3Ds max?? You feel you have some an architect in you? Even if you don't have that feeling, once you use the Google Sketchup then you will start having those feelings. You don't need to be an expert on using the Sketchup; Google SketchUp has a very user friendly interface and training system. Google has designed SketchUp primarily to help even ordinary people model buildings with varying complexity.

I still remember those days I tried to get the grip of 3D max but failed. The 3Ds max was way too advanced for me. When using the Sketchup, I first went through the guidelines and tutorials. Then making my own designs on it went very easy to me. These tutorials help you a lot on working with software. But still, I need many things to learn from it.
This one is done by me.

The features of Google SketchUp are as follows.
1. Good GUI.
2. Availability of tutorials (Through internet). On the internet you can find large number of tutorial, from the SketchUp team and third party. The in-built help functionality gives you the basics of the software.
3. Works on low system configuration. RAM 256 (I haven’t tried it with 128 RAM yet), processor: 1.5GHz, 50 MB free space, windows XP.
4. Easy modeling. After you take a little help then making some simple models is very easy task. Getting deeper would need a little bit of professionalism.
5. You have got a measuring scale through which you can make your models precise in their size.
6. Textures to cover your models. There is quite a good range of textures for your models; e.g., water, metal, tile, ground, wood and many more.
7. Some reality effects. You can use shadows in your model which is set according to the time. You also have fogs which decrease the visibility. You can add sky to your background.
8. Many functions. Less than the 3Ds max, but there are many functions that will keep you occupied.
9. Export to the world. When you are making a real building model then you can export it to the Google Earth which shows your model in the 3D to the world.

If you still think this is small software and can’t do much, then take time looking around its works.

A hi5 error

Post update! 12th July
First I thought it was only me, but now I have found that I am not
alone in this. Many Hi5 users are having the problems on their profile.
I also came to find that the problem with me was just a minor, others
had their whole profile comments erased.

It is said that there is some problem with the Hi5 database. See this group.
Post update Ends!

Hey
guys i found a error on the hi5. I found it because it was on mine. See
this picture. See the highlighted part. The meter shows profile
comments is zero, 0, even though there are profile comments. You can
also visit my profile at http://remrow.hi5.com I don't know how long this is going to last.

See this picture of the profile comments. There are profile comments. There is more to go than the comments shown.

I
found this out on 5th July. It had been so much time since i last
viewed my profile, so the error should had been there from very long. I
don't know how this happened. I tried to report this to the hi5 staffs
but could not find any means to do that. If you know where to contact
the hi5 staffs then please let me know.Post update!

How is the w3schools forum? – A Review

The w3schools has helped us a lot on the programming tutorials. HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, ASP, AJAX, and many more things you can know on the w3schools website. You can say it is a heaven for newbie. The website has always been helpful to us and there is an additional help from its forum.

W3schools’ forum, unlike others has a quite unseemly URL; http://w3schools.invisionzone.com. With that URL you may not think this is a forum but it is. However, the forum is quite a good place to start learning and sharing. The interface is like any other forums, but its usefulness is the main point here.

The registration is no pain. You will have a profile where you put your profile details. The profile view looks pretty much like a social networking website’s profile view. Then you can put in your signature which appears below your every post.

You might not find any topics exceeding the 100 posts except the ones on the important topic lists. In fact it is hard to find even the ones with 30 posts. It is probably because most of the topics are questions, so there is not much discussion after the ask er gets his answer. But it doesn’t mean there aren’t discussions, there are, and some looks like and war going on.

There are many professionals in this forum. You can get lots of useful helps from them and they are the life of any forums. Any questions or discussions you do they reply it in their ways which may be way to far for you.. Many times they are useful to us and sometime we feel, what he was telling? Discussing with the experienced guys, won’t be an easy task until you are one of them. The newbie may feel alone on this forum sometimes, though there are other newbie too but their interaction is lesser than the experienced ones.

If you are a newbie on programming and such other stuffs then first better join other similar minded forums than w3schools and only then join this forum.

A new Runescape and too much of eye candy

Finally, the wait is over for a new improved Runescape.
Now while you open the Runescape then you might have your mouths opened. Runescape has now changed, graphics and a new web site environment.

The Low detail login

The graphics are fantastic as any other 3D games. When you log in on a high detail level you mouth gonna be wider. The game background environment goes on changing showing the places around the Runesacpe; it is like the one on PC games (you know farcry, Prince OPs).

The High detail logins

But one thing is that, you need to be a member to log into the high detail game. For now the High detail level is on a beta stage so Free players can hope to get the High level after the testing phase is finished. Look at the system requirements of the High detail and the screen shots.

Then comming to the web site, yes the website interface has been changed. The interface is not so much new and looks alike the other MMOGs' web interface. Lots of graphics, informations are compacted and for the first time visitors it may look like "is this the website of runescape? where am I?". Starting with the new interface you get really stuck for sometime where that thing is but soon you will get the hold of it. Anyway I think if the web site interface had been better.
