If you have still not got an android device yet then no problem. You can stil use what an Android has in offer for free by Android Live CD. Also there is Android Live USB available.

These are two parts of the download and are spitted so you need to join them together. Use this freeware to join the two parts together http://www.freebyte.com/hjsplit/
Then Burn it to a CD and boot.
You can also use virtual box or Vmware to run the live CD on your current OS.
